Antonio

Great quote on Antonio this morning
He’s played right-back. He’s played right wing-back. He’s played right midfield. He’s played right wing. He’s played left wing. He’s played as a striker. He runs his balls off, gives his all in every position and has scored seven of West Ham’s 17 league goals. If every player had the attitude and energy of Antonio, football management would be a lot easier.

Re: Antonio

He was probably put back a bit too soon- but I think it was a risk worth taking seen as it was such an important match.
I'm sure if it wasn't such an important game there's no way Carroll would have been on the bench either. They'd have just rested him entirely.
Shame to now lose him for a spell, but I think we're as good as safe after that win now and we should have enough left in the squad to beat or at least get a point from Sunderland.

From C&H Sam Byram will be fit to take his place at right back in the match against Sunderland at the weekend.
However, the bad news is that Michail Antonio will be sidelined for up to three weeks after suffering a hamstring injury in the crucial win over Swansea City at the weekend.

Agree with that. Trying to think of another player like that but can't think of many/any.

What a bargain he has been.
Remember his debut against City last year and thinking he might be well out of his depth, but what a solid top level player he's become.
I like the fact his ungainly and unpredictable style is likely to ever put off a top club coming in for him, so hopefully he can have a lengthy and successful career with us.

Love him. Only problem is he scares defenders all over the pitch - theirs and ours.
Get him away from our goal and he is a beast. Anywhere near it and he's an accident waiting to happen.

We'll probably sell him in the summer and get a decent winger that can play RB....

I love the bloke's commitment, pace and strength. Never gives up, scares the pants off opponents defenders and our top scorer. Puts a lot of our other more expensive signings to shame, Absolute bargain!

Everyone will have different opinions about players, that's just football and fans and gives us out pub discussions.
Blokes my favourite current player and my favourite for a good few years, after a period where we generally found it hard liking moat of our mob.
Not just his play with Antonio, he's also been proved to be a bloody decent bloke and in this day and age, that's pretty rare in footballs age of the Prima Dona's.
Keep it going big man.
